4 Week Class on Zoom

Why do we wait until we’re in a crisis before we start thinking about the end of life? This class will provide a safe space to discuss, share, and ponder the various choices and options for the end of life experience before a crisis presents itself.

Combining group discussion, documentaries, and teaching by Carin Bonifacino, each week will focus on a different aspect (or aspects) of the death and dying experience. These include, but are not limited to, the medicalization of death, legal documents and paperwork to fill out and discuss with your family, options for funerals and burial, end of life doulas, VSED, and physician assisted death.

Participants will also receive a workbook that they can use in conjunction with the class. The workbook is an informal document in which each person can fill in their instructions and wishes for their end of life care.

I just took a wonderful 4-week class with Carin Bonifacino called ‘End Of Life Planning For Mid-Life People.’ I learned so much about different ways to live our last days, months, and years, and how to die in peace leaving everything in order. All the students met every week, watched videos, read books and articles, filled out legal documents, and listened carefully to each other’s lives and Carin’s presentations. I strongly recommend everybody to take this class and do not wait until the last minute to figure out how to navigate the complicated relationships with hospitals, funeral directors, banks, the state, and of course your relatives and descendants.

Thanks so much for leading myself and fellow participants through your End of Life Planning for Mid-Life People class - a sensible, detailed and unapologetic discussion of preparation for the end of life. I didn’t know what to expect but was thoroughly satisfied. You did a really really wonderful job. I am more fully informed on how to navigate my walk to this new adventure.
